Pochin Concrete Pumping Ltd maintains a proactive approach to safety, health and environmental management. As market leaders we aim to promote improvements across our industry as well as within our own company.
The concrete pumping division has a resident Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor, who in addition to his in-house duties, is available to customers and other interested parties to provide advice and information specific to concrete pumping operations. The SHE Advisor is Paul Deboo, and can be contacted on 01606 833333.

Safe Systems of Work
Pochin Concrete Pumping Ltd have developed robust safe systems of work in order to control the risk of personal injury or other form of incident during our operations.
Our Concrete Pump Operators are fully briefed upon the content and requirements of these systems, which are contained in a manual - the Operators Procedure Guide, which they carry in their pump/ vehicle.
To assist pump hirers in the preparation of their own safe systems of work, Pochin Concrete Pumping Ltd have produced a Significant Risk Identification / Control Measure Statement, outlining the safety, health, and environmental risks associated with concrete pumping operations.

OHSAS 18001
The concrete pumping division operates a health and safety management system which complies (by ongoing external verification) with the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 - Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems. We remain the only UK concrete pump hire company to have achieved this.

BS 8476:2007
Pochin Concrete Pumping Ltd was a prominent member of the sub-committee which prepared for the introduction of British Standard BS 8476:2007 - Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Concrete Pumps.
This Standard provides guidance and recommendations as to best practice in the hire and operation of concrete pumps.

The Company (as part of Pochin's PLC is a member of RoSPA, and uses this organisation's wide range of services to promote and improve health and safety standards within our working environment.
